Policy and Procedure No.28
Parents/Carers Involvement
- Millfield Pre-school (MPS) works with parents/carers by supporting, encouraging, and reinforcing best practice. We also guide and advise when parents/carers seek suggestions or ways of caring and coping with children.
- To instigate this, we:
a. Ensure all parents/carers are aware of our aims, policies, and procedures, including complaints.
b. Encourage parents/carers to become actively involved with MPS.
c. Provide feedback on their child’s progress and development with termly parents/carers evenings.
d. Listen to parents/carers comments and opinions about their child’s progress and development. We encourage parent/carers input and comments on their child’s Tapestry Online Learning Journeys.
e. Ensure times, places and information about meetings are available to all parents/carers through newsletters and email.
f. Listen to parents/carers comments and opinions about their child’s emotional well-being.
g. As a charity-based organisation, Millfield Pre-School is legally required to have a committee made up of parents and carers. Without this committee the Pre-school would be unable to operate. Parents/carers are encouraged to join the committee to support the pre-school.
h. Families are encouraged to participate in all fundraising events.
